WordPress Plugin – Indent Paragraph with Tab

Overview

This plugin enables the indentation functionality available in WordPress prior to Gutenberg. Due to variations across themes, the preview during input displays only the tag structure.

Settings & Features

You can change the indentation value.

  1. Admin Settings > Indent Tab
  2. Indent Step input

How to use

  • Pressing the Tab key while typing a paragraph will indent it by one level. It will display as <tab> x 1 .
  • You can indent up to eight levels. The number of indent levels entered will be displayed numerically, such as x 2.
  • To remove an indent, press the Shift + Tab keys.
  • This applies only to standard paragraphs. It does not work for headings or lists.
  • Indentation is applied within the same paragraph. Shift+Enter line breaks include indentation.

The preview screen displays<tab> x 1 to visualize input, but only indentation is reflected on the published screen.

Tags that were displayed during input are hidden on the published screen.

Install

The installation file will be available for download from the WordPress.org site . https://wordpress.org/plugins/indent-paragraph-with-tab/

Install Step

  1. In the WordPress admin dashboard, click “Plugins” → “Add Plugin”.
  2. Enter “Indent Paragraph with Tab” in the search box and search.
  3. Find this plugin and click “Install Now”
  4. Click “Activate”
